Grand Canyon Destination Wedding

I love elopements. The idea of two lovers agreeing to marry each other with no one else around is such a romantic idea. Most, if not all couples toy around with the idea of eloping; it saves so much on planning, organizing, stress, tip-toeing around who to invite and who not to invite, etc. etc. etc. Patty and Dwight did just that. They planned a wonderful destination wedding to the Grand Canyon. A few days before the wedding they hiked down Bright Angel Trail to the base of the Canyon where they stayed the night at Phantom Ranch. The ceremony took place two days later at the historic El Tovar Lodge. Since it was a cold winter day they opted to have the ceremony on one of the porches of the lodge to help block the blowing wind. It was a beautiful destination wedding. Patty's custom made blue velvet gown was spectacular and perfect for an outdoor wedding in December. Since it was just the two of them, we were honored to sign as witnesses on their marriage license.
