Desert Botanical Garden Wedding - Phoenix, Arizona

The torrential rain and dark skies could not stop this wedding. This was one stormy day, so much so that the ceremony had to be pushed back and the reception had to be moved indoors. There were a lot of emotions before the ceremony and everyone stepped up to make it work. The staff at the DGB, the caterers, the band, and florist were all amazing. Everyone worked tirelessly to dry all of the chairs for the ceremony space and create a reception room that was elegant and grand.

The blending of two beautiful families were the focus for Tony and Susie, who planned a destination wedding at the Desert Botanical Garden. Every detail was meticulously planned; down to the shuttle buses for all of their guests, to incorporating all of their grandchildren into the ceremony, where each of them poured sand into a Native American wedding vase, to their adult children officiating the sweetest ceremony that ended with an ukulele song performed by their daughter-in-law. The reception was one big party with no formalities, all they wanted were for their friends and family to celebrate, laugh, and dance. The music was over the top too! Sapphire Sky is an amazing group of musicians and performers in Phoenix. Once the music started the dance floor was always full. Their energy, professionalism, superior sound, and amazing light rig were outstanding.

We were honored to photograph such an amazing day, so much so that we are a part of their family as they are ours! Cheers to love!
